The Important Battery Bar (BB)

All Electric Vehicles (EV) have an algorithm to determine the strength of the battery. Unlike a petrol car, half a tank means half a tank. For Electric Scooters, the controller has to calculate the following: the estimated weight of riders, uphill or down hill road, speed, the terrain of the road and of course the distance the e-scooter has travelled to determine how many bars the LCD will display.

It is important to keep an eye on the Battery Bar (BB) especially when the battery has done more than 1000km on ODO meter. ODO reading can be found in most LCD screen which can be near the throttle that is clamp on the handlebar. The BB is design so that rider knows how much strength of the battery if they want to go back to the point of origin.

Most, if not all, reading on the LCD shows 5 bar to indicate the strength of the battery. Most people will see 3 bar as an indicator that the battery is half full but it may not be true some of the case. When the light on the charger turns green, 5 BB will appear on the screen. If it is 3 BB and charger show green, please bring in for service.
